Pet's Story
Buddy first appeared in my life around the time I was in fifth grade. He was a dusty, little country pup, thrust into life in the suburbs. He adjusted beautifully to his new home full of lots of girl kisses from my sisters, mom, and I, and respectful man-to-man companionship from my dad. Pure bred Golden Retrievers are the most beautiful, friendly, and loyal dogs, however they come with their maladies. When Buddy was five he developed a massive malignant tumor on his right side, connected to his ribs. We had to sell a car just to pay for his expensive surgery. In this picture Buddy is wearing a t-shirt I had made for him with writing on the back saying, "We love you, Buddy," to cover his gigantic stitched-up bald spot from the procedure. Now, three years later, Buddy is still squeezing into the van in the most seemingly uncomfortable positions and living life to the fullest. Buddy is one of the best decisions my family has ever made and we look forward to numerous years with him ahead of us.
