Garret the Ferret was found as a stray in Victoria Park, Kitchener one cold February day. A good Samaritan had seen him injured (likely he was struck by a car) and brought him to KW Humane for urgent care. His injuries included a ruptured eye and a broken femur. The injured eye was removed during surgery and he was sent into foster for cage rest (which is very hard for a curious little ferret), at which point his foster family fell in love with him and chose to adopt him once he was healed up.

Since adoption, Garret has been an excellent animal ambassador and often joins his mom, Stacy (an RVT and foster mom for KWSP Humane), in giving presentations to children at the Humane Society during various camps and other children's programming. Garret is just the sweetest ferret, and loves ALL the attention he gets - most especially from his Grandma Sharon!
