Pet's Story or Bio
In 2013, I bought a 6 month old puppy off Kijiji who was improperly socialized and that was all. His name was Vader. I met him in a public park. A few months later he developed severe behavioural problems and problems with balance and stairs so I took him to the vet. I learned he was a year and a half and had been severely abused which meant he would need lifelong care for brain damage and improperly healed injuries.

I was in therapy as a survivor of abuse at the time and to this day I believe that Vader and I were meant to find each other. We spent 7 years with doctors and trainers learning together to live without fear.

He spends his days showering my young son and myself with unconditional love and trotting around with his friends at the dog park. He is a pacifist and parks his 100lb bottom on both dogs and people who are causing arguments or conflicts to squish and kiss their fight away. He is also an excellent pillow.

Vader is proof that all living things are worthy of a second chance and with enough love, patience and support, anyone can be saved.
