Topsy came from a rescue in Asheville. He was brought back TWICE because he had an attitude with little kids. This was not a problem, I adopted him for my parents, they don't hang out with little kids. Dad passed away a few years ago and Mom repeats his remark upon becoming Topsy's guardian, "That's the Nicest Thing Anyone Ever Did for Me". Dad was 88 at the time of Topsy's adoption and never thought he would ever have a dog again. Topsy brightened Dad's last years of life. (Topsy in now great with kids!!)
