She was a rescue who had been starved/emancipated . A friend told me about her and knew I would love her since I’ve always loved large breeds. I go visit her ( knowing my dog won’t get along with her since he’s so reactive). I go anyways, so she knows not all people in the world are bad and would hurt her so I would go every week and walk her, visit, and give her treats. . She is confused and food driven but receptive and starts to remember me. I go for weeks when I finally introduce the slimmest chance that maybe my dog wouldn’t bother her. Thanks to a very patient friend ( and dog whisperer so to speak) they meet and it goes well! The one dog he likes so I adopt her shortly after. After a few months I loose my dog. He let me get her to aid my heartbreak. It’s as if he knew I was going to need her.
