We adopted Nitro from Lakeshore Paws about five years ago, after looking for a second dog. My wife and I started looking to adopt a second dog right after Lakeshore Paws received a group of dogs displaced by a hurricane, hoping to provide a good home for one of them. As we walked by his kennel, we glanced over and saw him sitting there, with the best puppy dog eyes. At that moment, we fell in love with him and knew he was the perfect addition to our family. He had been returned to the shelter once before, and had a hard time getting adopted a second time due to his deafness. We knew that our dog would be a great companion for him, and they have become the best of friends. His favorite activity is curling up next to one of us on the couch, and loves sunbathing!!
