Your Pet's Story or Bio
We were Penny's fourth home trial after she was transported from Kentucky. With a tail amputation and a nice case of hookworm, she spent the first week here sick and crabby. But now? 7 months later? Penny is well and very much at home. She counter surfs, climbs our 6-foot fence, barks at everything that moves, brays at anything resembling vermin, requires constant stimulation, wants to live outside (but only when it's warm), and loves her humans fiercely. She's afraid of the dark, cold, thunderstorms, and loud noise. She's also protective, hilarious, so very quirky, particular about sleeping, and wild. She is trained, but somehow totally out of control. I do not know her story before us, but it does end with us. She absolutely matches the energy of everyone in our house and then some, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
