Sunny Jean was dropped off in our neighborhood four years ago. She ended up in the woods behind our house. She was very frightened, but not feral, and looked to be around six months old. At the time we couldn't get close enough to know if she was male or female. We just knew we had to trap her and have her spayed or neutered before we had kittens running out of the woods! Fortunately, we trapped her fairly quickly. We found out she was female and she was spayed immediately. Orange tabbies are usually 80% male-20% female, so she is kind of special. We now belong to her and she rules the kingdom!! She loves to lay on top of and play with the liriope. She's definitely a part of our family and we love her!
