Meemaw was an unusual Last Hope dog: she was a local surrender, not from Arkansas. She arrived in 2020 to us as a foster, terrified and sickly. For weeks she refused to eat and was scared of everything new, but as she grew comfortable, after five months, we realized she'd found her home. We knew we probably would have a few years with her at most and enjoyed all the 3.5 years of her being the best foster sister to puppies, big dumb pitties and everything in between. She crossed the rainbow bridge in May 2024 at 9.5 years old.
