Your pet's story or bio
We were on vacation for the first time in 15 yrs. without one of our dogs (both had recently passed at 14 & 15 respectively) and the void was painful. My wife had started looking at adoption sites and on the last day of our vacation she found Snickers at LCR. Ten days later she was sleeping on our couch in front of the fire. She had some behavioral issues for sure; food aggression and was (is) very aggressive towards all other dogs (and horses for some reason?) and had been returned twice to LCR, but having had previous experience with Border Collies we were somewhat prepared for what lay ahead. Anyway, long story short, with plenty of tough love and a lot of yard to patrol and call her own, she has blossomed into a beautiful girl! Happy, well behaved, brave and loyal to a fault. This picture was taken of her first Christmas with us and everyone brought her a toy or blanket or treats to welcome her. She has become our “Love”!
