A little about me...
The dogs pictured are both from LCR. We adopted Ranger, a sweet shih-poo, from LCR as a one-year-old in early 2009. An older mini poodle, Riley (not pictured), joined our family the following year, and she and Ranger were best friends. When Riley passed in 2017, Ranger was devastated. He became listless and depressed and had to be coaxed to eat. We had always intended to adopt another dog, but now we felt we had to act quickly. We returned to LCR one month later and brought home Lily, a 4-year-old shih tzu. Ranger bonded with her immediately and began to enjoy living again. We credit Lily with saving his life! They enjoyed 4 happy years together before Ranger passed in 2021. A very sad time for all of us. Thankfully, Lily continues to thrive, and enjoys playing with Ollie, the yorkie next door.
