Lens and Leash Photography is a dog photographer based in New Braunfels, Texas. Amber, the person behind the lens, is committed to showing the unbreakable bond between owners and their furry family. She specializes in creating custom museum-quality artwork for the home that can be cherished for a lifetime. Having worked hands-on with dogs as a groomer and trainer for the past 8 years, she is able to confidently work with dogs of any breed, age, discipline, and energy level (yes, even your crazy pup!) and guarantees that you will love your photos. No off-leash obedience or fancy tricks required!
The Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area has proudly served the residents and pets of New Braunfels, Comal County, and the surrounding areas since 1975. As an open-intake, non-profit animal shelter, HSNBA is committed to saving as many furry lives as possible, and they couldn't do it without the incredible support of our community. While HSNBA is not directly funded by the City of New Braunfels or Comal County, they are contracted to house stray animals brought in by their Animal Control Divisions and citizens.
The funding from these contracts makes up a small portion of the yearly operating budget at HSNBA and is generally only enough to cover the cost of around three days of care. In addition, the funding received from animal control contracts helps cover the cost of the initial vaccinations, dewormers, and flea/tick prevention for each animal when they arrive at HSNBA. However, The vast majority of pets at HSNBA stay MUCH longer than three days. HSNBA relies on donations from supporters in the community to care for these pets and to continue their lifesaving mission!
In 2023, HSNBA saved 91% of the 4,171 animals that came through their doors! This incredible accomplishment would not be possible without donations from dedicated supporters and community members!
