Pet Parent's Name
Kent & Kathy Bishop

A short paragraph (250 words or less) that tells voters something fun or interesting about the pet in the photo. For example, is this a LCHS adoptee or rescue dog? How long has he or she been a part of your family?
My name is Grace, I am a calico, and I will be three years old in September 2016. When my family found me at the Leon County Humane Society, they thought they were coming in to “rescue” a poor kitty, who did not have a home. They had recently lost another kitty that had lived with them for a long time. When they saw me, they knew they were the ones being “rescued” and I would be the kitty doing the rescuing.

It is really nice being the only kitty in our home. I get complete run of the entire house, all the food I need and I have my own private bathroom. I also get to sleep as much as I want and they treat me like the queen that I am. I love to be petted and have my belly rubbed, but DO NOT like to be picked up. (I’m not that kind of girl.) You see, everything is on my terms, just as it should be.

I like watching birds and squirrels from my favorite chair in the living room, which is also one of my favorite places to take naps. At night, I like to sleep with my family, after I have tucked my little sock baby toys in for the night. I always jump up in their bed each morning to let them know it is time to get up, and feed me.
