Bambi was living at an abandoned house at the end of our street. A neighbor across the street from the house started leaving food out for her. She was unapproachable and would hide in the bushes. After I found out about her, I would go leave food and talk to her trying to gain her confidence. She was so scared. After just a few days, she would appear when we showed up. Eventually she came across the street to investigate my neighbors ‘ dog in her fence. That afternoon at feeding time, she came up to me, I opened my car door and I said “let’s go home.”
That was in August 2015. I intended to find her a good home, but she fit right in with my other two girls and cat. The rest is history. We love our Bambi.
