Tinker and Frederick were both rescued from a cat shelter as kittens. Their human, Rachael, is a First Amendment Scholar and they are both named for famous U.S. Supreme Court student speech cases. They are known as the "Free Speech Kitties" and help their human teach First Amendment law. Tinker and Frederick have been featured on college exams as bonus questions, won a Banned Books photo contest on First Amendment Day at the University of North Carolina, and make frequent appearances on their human's social media. When she's not advocating for free speech, Tinker loves to chase toys, find new hiding places, and nap in her hammock. Frederick, the ever-active free press advocate, loves to play and nap in his human's old newspapers, nibble on 'nip, and climb on his human's curtains--both window and shower. Both Frederick and Tinker love their human very much and love to snuggle beside her as they work on court cases and law review articles together. She considers them the best co-authors around. They are absolutely inseparable and make quite the playful, snuggly pair.
