A little about me...
Idgie was born in Ft. Myers right when Hurricane Ian hit. After being rescued by humane society volunteers from a mama cat who refused to feed her, Idgie lived the bottle baby lifestyle in an RV before being sent up to Tallahassee to find her forever home. The first time Patricia saw her on the LCHS website in December, she knew Idgie (then Nugalina) was the one, but hesitated since her beloved sixteen year old cat, Daffodil, had passed only a month prior. After starts and stops, and moments when it seemed liked Idgie would be adopted by someone else, Patricia took her home the first week of January. Idgie hissed at all her other visitors, but not Patricia. They were meant to be. Now she runs the apartment, stalking birds through windows, attacking her water bowl, and just generally having a major calico catitude. That was to be expected though since she's named after the main character in "Fried Green Tomatoes," very much a southern kitty with spunk. Idgie's favorite toy is a spring and loves to run to the bathroom when she hears the water turn on in the tub to watch it go. Also a huge Ted Lasso fan, pawing at the screen when Roy Kent appears. Her most recent accomplishment is staying at her grandparents house for a weekend and actually letting them pet her for once. She even stopped hissing at the dog. Patricia is so grateful for the love of this kitty.
