A little about me...
I had fostered dogs for LCHS since 2015, so when I was asked to foster a puppy for the local Boys Town benefit auction, I said yes. The puppy was from Saving Hope Rescue in Texas, but since I didn’t have my glasses on when I got her, I thought her NAME was Hope, and that just sort of stuck. (That morphed into Hopey and then Hopey Child – because all good dogs need multiple names!) I had Hopey for 6 weeks before the benefit, and my office (Earl Bacon Agency) was wonderful enough to let me bring her to the office with me every day during that time. Of course, the whole office fell in love with her, so when the benefit came up, they bid on her until they won. She’s lived with me ever since.

Hopey is like a cat/dog – watching and observing everything that goes on in the office when she visits. Her favorite human is the agency’s president, Bobby Nylen (who made sure we won that auction), but she loves me second-best! At home, Hopey patrols the back yard several times per day to rid us of those pesky squirrels and bunnies (but don’t worry, she has never actually caught one!) She absolutely adores her brother Boo, who was adopted from the Tallahassee Leon Co Animal Shelter, and they look like siblings, so it was obviously meant to be. Hopey Child is a sweet, sassy, smart girl, and we all love her immensely.
