A little about me...
Last year, my family and I decided we would like to add to our family. We were set on a small dog, definitely an adult, absolutely no puppies. LCHS had many great options, but we didn't find the right fit and paused the search.
I did occasionally visit the LCHS site until one day I saw these adorable puppies Loretta & Piper. They were 15 week old puppies who would grow into large dogs - the exact opposite of the smaller older dog we had in mind. Piper had me from the start with her big soulful eyes and adorable scrunchy forehead. I was sure she was meant to be in our family. I did have my work cut out for me to convince my family she should come home with us!
On March 5th, we adopted our Princess Piper. She's been stealing hearts and blankets ever since.
Piper's foster mom Lynn told us that when the pack of tiny puppies were barking for attention, Piper would "pipe" up. Even now, underneath her big girl bark, you can still hear that cute little "pipe" sound. She's the perfect mix of mischief and 100% good girl. Thank you, LCHS, and the amazing foster families. We cannot imagine a world without our Piper girl!
