Sir Burpee has been my little man since March 2014, when I adopted him through Underdog Rescue of Florida. Sir Burpee was just 4 weeks old, living with his malnourished mother and two brothers in a filthy, flea-infested home with 35 dogs and neglected children. From the minute I met him at 2 months old, he was mine - prancing up to me with confidence and settling into my lap. Today he tags along everywhere and is the much-loved mascot for my fitness studio, Badass Fitness, where students love him and are always disappointed on the rare occasions when I leave him home. Whenever I shout, "more burpees!" during class, his ears perk up! He weighs just 6 pounds, but his personality and energy are bigger than life. He has never met a stranger or child he doesn't love, running up and waving his paws as he stands on his two back legs to greet them. Whether you want one or not, Sir Burpee is going to greet you with a kiss! He loves playing 'tug ' and 'chase' with his toys, going on car rides, getting dressed up, and eating Paleo treats like hard-boiled eggs, almond butter, carrots and apples. He dislikes rain, baths, hair dryers and dry dog biscuits. More than anything, Sir Burpee loves his mama - evidenced by how he anxiously looks around when I leave the room.
