This is Max on his second "birthday," the day we adopted him and brought him home from LCHS and his wonderful foster family—at the time, Maximilien Maxwell Miller was 5 years old (September 29, 2012). We don't know what his history before us was, and we don't know why anyone would not want him in their lives. We only know that when we adopted him, he was in a sad state. He was recovering from being heartworm positive, had awful ear infections in both ears, a "cherry eye” in one eye, and was severely underweight. None of them stopped him from being a wonderful dog then or now! Max is full of energy and love everyday, though he can’t hold his “licker”—Max loves to express his love through many, MANY kisses. He loves to cuddle, to play with each and every toy in his toy box, and to run his “circuit” in the backyard for hours at a time to the enjoyment of all who watch him. Every day, we try to give Max the love that he deserves, and he gives it right back to us.
