Carrie's full name is Carolina Virginia. She was born at a feral colony. Her mom had died, and my family and I rescued her from a terrible storm one evening when she was a 4-week old kitten. She was so ugly, scrawny, and malnourished that the vet laughed at her when I took her in for her first checkup, but she turned into a gorgeous long-haired beauty with vibrant green eyes. This kitty had a black, thin tail as a kitten, a gray striped thin tail as a teen, and a big, black plume of a tail as an adult--I have documentation! She makes a variety of sounds not heard in tame cats. She never tamed up, but she's beautiful. She has her own childrens' story book written and illustrated by her adoptive mom to encourage children to love cats.
