Sir Burpee was rescued from a puppy mill in January 2014 and has since found his furever home here in Tallahassee, where he spends his days as the mascot of BA Fitness in Midtown and of Moore Communications Group - climbing into laps, snuggling up to ankles, and bringing co-workers toys to brighten their days. It's hard to put into words how much joy this 8-pound pup brings to everyone he interacts with - prompting even those who are "not a dog person" to ask for extra time with him and reconsider getting a dog. Sir Burpee has stolen many hearts, including his mama's. He came into her life when she needed him most, and she has been full of joy ever since - committed to giving him the best possible life. Four months ago, he had double knee surgery to repair luxating patellas. His spirit throughout that painful 12-week recovery is a testament to Sir Burpee's rough beginnings and his huge personality - resilient, determined, joyful and full of energy amid the most difficult of circumstances. Sir Burpee brings love wherever he goes.
