Bodi is an amazing Golden Retriever LCHS adoptee. He was part of a program to transport dogs from a high-kill shelter in Georgia. Bodi’s human Gabrielle agreed to adopt him sight unseen four years ago because she wanted a companion for her elderly cat. Cassie kitty lived to be 20, and the last year of her live was much happier with Bodi in it. Bodi arrived with muscles atrophied and was a rambunctious, malnourished puppy. With lots of love and training, he became a beloved member of the family. Bodi is now a certified therapy dog and service dog specializing in PTSD and mobility. He helps his human by being a surrogate mom to orphaned foster kittens, and he helps train foster dogs how to have good behavior. Bodi is a fixture in the community. He makes weekly visits with his human to Alzheimer’s patients, and he is regularly seen at the hospital, working with veterans with disabilities, and with children who are terminally ill.
Bodi radiates joy! He wakes up in the morning and does his favorite “downward dog” yoga pose with his tail wagging, and he makes everyone who touches him happy. Besides therapy animal visits, he senses stress in his human’s executive coaching clients, and he is a natural at calming them. In addition, Bodi is garnet and Golden; he is a loyal FSU fan! :) He would love you to vote for him to help LCHS who saved his life!
