My sweet Florida was rescued in Birmingham, Alabama, on November 1, 2013 when she was about 7 months old. She had red mange all over and was skin and bones. I had found homes for several rescues before and was optimistic I'd find one for her, but she quickly grabbed my heart, so I just couldn't give her up. She cracks me and my family up on a daily basis because she literally acts like she is seeing everything for the first time, all the time - whether it be a leaf, a frog, a bird, a squirrel, a tree, a bug, etc. It's like the movie 50 First Dates. She is a delight. She's very sweet and loves every person and animal she meets. She never tries to be in charge; she just wants friends and love. She's affectionate, calm, playful, smart, and strong. Her best friend is Tillie Coaker, a Jack Russell Terrier that she is trying to talk into entering this contest with her. Florida is so sweet, she'd probably vote for Tillie.
