A short paragraph (250 words or less) that tells voters something fun or interesting about the pet in the photo. For example, is this a LCHS adoptee or rescue dog? How long has he or she been a part of your family?
Silas is is a rescue cat that has lived with me for about a year and 1/2, following the loss of my beloved Coosie Kitty. I call him a rescue cat primarily because he rescued me from the grief of loss and loneliness. I was heart-broken when the local vet said he was too aggressive to be managed by an 88 year old woman. However, with a little TLC, he has turned out to be a loving, playful and faithful companion. He follows me wherever I am in the house and watches TV with me at night, until I say "night, night", when he goes and curls up in his bed for the night. He greets me each morning at daylight with a scratch on my door - time to get up and seize the day! He loves to explore in the yard, climb trees and chase squirrels. But I can count on him to be back in a few hours to sit with me a while. Who could have guessed a little kitten could turn into such a dear friend.
