I had been living with four other dogs in a small crate for awhile. I was scared, hunger, sad, and matted from head to tail. I was taken to the Osceola County Shelter, were I saw a lot of humans walk by, but none of them stopped. Then one sunny Saturday morning in April, I heard the sweetest voice, calling my name, I casually walked to the fence, not wanting to be too pushy. Then all of a sudden, she leaned down, and actually touched my head, it was like she could see the real me, through all the mats and stinky fur. Well the next thing I knew, the man with the keys, took me out of my pen. She and I walked, ran and played. I was so excited I laid down on my back and she scratched my belly. She smiled and I knew I had found my human mom. I had to have a procedure before my human mom was truly mine. But on April 9, 2015 my beautiful human sister drove me to Gainesville, so my human mom could drive me home to Tallahassee. Well, now I'm living the good life sleeping in a very big bed, which I share with my human mom, taking trips, being pampered. Come to find out she was also sad, scared and alone, because she had lost her human mate in February. So I guess I'm the one who rescued her.
