Fun facts about your furry friend
This is James. I said goodbye to him in March and I don't think my life will ever be the same. Everyone knows their dog is THE best but something about James was incredibly unique. He had a personality like no other dog I've ever known. Aloof, stoic, unamused, possibly a little judgmental, incredibly stubborn. I think he was constantly looking for ways to worry me. He loved to jump the fence. He wouldn't go anywhere, he just knew the sun was a little warmer on the other side. Sometimes he'd make direct eye contact with me as he did the very thing I told him not to do. In return, he gave me the greatest 7 years of my life. Healed my broken heart, protected me when it was just him and I living in a studio apartment, slept with me on the couch when I couldn't stop having panic attacks, brought me constant joy and companionship. Made the burden a little lighter when I was struggling to carry it. I think I will look for him every day, for the rest of my life. Things you love about your routine with them that may seem mundane, something funny they did, the 26 nicknames you have for them. Take a million pictures, take videos of them doing nothing, because you can. Do it all now because you can.
