CONTEST RULES
- Participants must be residents of the Niagara Region (or within reasonable proximity) in Ontario, Canada. Voters are welcome from outside of the region and Canada.
- Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated.
- There are 13 full pages to win (the cover and each month). The top fundraiser will be awarded the cover, with the next 6 spots (excluding the Grand Prize winner) from each category being awarded a page in the 2018 Calendar on July 15th, 2019 at 11:59:59 pm EST.
- The next 10 from each category (20 in total) after the Top 13 will have their pet featured inside of the calendar on different months.
- A selection of 3-4 print quality photos of each winning animal must be provided by on to be included in the production of the calendar.
- If appropriate print quality photos are not provided by the deadline the LCHS will offer the spot in the calendar to the next runner up.
- By agreeing to the waiver, you will also acknowledge and give permission to the LCHS to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered in future various publications and materials, including the 2018 Calendar.
- The LCHS reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo.
CONTEST GUIDELINES
HOW TO SUBMIT PHOTOGRAPHS:
- To submit photos, click on the Participate tab above and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your pet. Entries must be received by June 30th, 2019 at 11:59 EST.
- All entries are donations to LCHS are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. Please send a request for a donation receipt if you would like one for your records (mharder@lchs.ca or 905-687-0767 EXT. 230).
- Once submitted all photos become the property of the Lincoln County Humane Society.
VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITES:
- You can win special prizes by having friends and family vote for your pet’s photo.
- Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery on LCHS contest website, and be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each.
- All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
- To vote, click on the Participate tab above. The online voting period will end July 15th, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Ending time for the Photo Fundraiser will be determined by the host website’s server, which will show prominently on the Photo Fundraiser website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser.
- The photograph with the most votes (donations) at the end of the submission period will win.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Photos must be high quality, taken at maximum resolution, 300 DPI, minimum file size of 4mb (megabytes) in size and in a generally accepted file format.
- Photos submitted for the calendar must include at least one animal, who should be present in no less than 2/3 of the frame. Landscape format is preferred.
- Please ensure that the photo is sharp and in focus with a clean background.
- The LCHS is opposed to practices that prevent animals from expressing natural animal behaviours. Photos should not feature animals performing unnatural or unsafe activities.
- If the photo contains an individual, you must be able to confirm and provide written authorization from that person for the LCHS to use the photo. It is preferred that the photo not feature individuals.
- The LCHS reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo.
