It is a rare occasion when children and chocolate don't mix. Such was the case with long-haired, chocolate tweenie dachshund Scooby. His parents had to put him up for adoption because he is frightened of little children and bit a few kids under 5 in the family.
Scooby found his furever home with his senior parents Shirley and Tommy. They grabbed him from the "not ready to adopt" page of LPDR because of his gorgeous photo and reported lazy lap dog demeanor. It was a match truly made in heaven for all.
By fate, Scooby lived in the same Gaithersburg neighborhood that his adopters lived in with LPDR alum Dante before moving to Frederick. Scooby's first family resided in the same Gaithersburg neighborhood and also shared Dante's vet.
Scooby's family believes he was a gift from Dante to fill their empty hearts after his loss. Scooby is spoiled and thriving!
