Tell us about your pup
I adopted Nellie from LWDR in March of 2023. She had been in a breeding facility for 4 years and had apparently spent little, if any, time out of her cage. As a result she had never learned to play, either with toys or other dogs. She loves going to the dog park every day, and while she still doesn’t play she is very comfortable around the other dogs at the small dog park, so she has socialized well. She does have her favorite “humans” as well and really enjoys being adored! Like all Cavi’s, she is an expert at throwing the side eye and pouting if Dad happens to be paying attention to another creature, canine or human! I did get another fur baby about her age from LWDR, and while she gets jealous if I pay too much attention to her sister Opal, she does like to snuggle on the couch with both of us. Nellie is my little shadow and follows me everywhere. She is capable of throwing a little hissy fit, stomping her feet and whining if she thinks it has been to long since she had a treat. She is certainly my little princess, and I don’t know what I would do without her!
