Our sweet Ruby, formally named Calamity Jane, introduced to us as Jane.

2025 was a rough year, we lost 2 of our girls barely a month apart-leaving our hearts broken as well as our senior Boston, Oliver's, now an only dog for the first time in his life.

June 2, 2025, I woke up to a “recommended post” of a photo collage and bio of this beautiful girl. I immediately sent the photo to my husband and said, I feel like I want to apply, but a young, gorgeous Boston Terrier, posted the day before-I wasn't sure both of us could handle applying and having her already be adopted. We weren't sure it was the best timing either, but with the likelihood of her already being spoken for we decided to try-if it was meant to be, then it would work out.

Within the hour, I got a phone call that I assumed meant she was already adopted. I was shocked when Logan told me otherwise! By the end of the afternoon, we were approved to adopt our girl!

June 21, 2025 we drove down to CT to meet her and the rest is history.

We sadly lost Oliver recently, but she brought light back to his eyes after losing his other siblings and he loved her immediately.

Ruby is the sweetest, my little shadow, so incredibly smart and just the right amount of sassy to hold her own with her newest “little” brother Jasper who is a boxer.

The timing at first didn't make sense. Almost a year later, the timing and the way it worked out, it now makes so much sense. We are so thankful Ruby showed up in our lives when she did.
