Oakley, formerly known as Milk Dud, was a special pup with a resilient spirit. Rescued by Live Free Animal Shelter from Oklahoma, he had a rough start in life, spending his early days in a kennel with little socialization. Transferred to Massachusetts, with his siblings where he found a family, only to be returned to the shelter. But fate had other plans for our Oakley when he was fostered by a kind-hearted employee.

Meeting Oakley, I was struck by his initial shyness, but our connection was instant. Despite not planning on getting another dog after a recent loss, Oakley's presence felt right. Bringing him home was the best decision I made, and Oakley has thrived ever since. He has become my soul dog, enjoying every moment of his new life filled with love, playtime with his sister Rylee, fetch games, and long walks. Oakley truly is the best boy!
