Dog's Story
Lake Oconee runs in Blue's blood!

Blue's adventure originates at Lake Oconee when she was dropped off at the Lake Oconee Humane Society. These days, she spends her days lakeside, either splashing along the shoreline, enjoying boat rides, exploring islands or kayak training.

Her blue eyes reached through the LOHS website and took a vice hold on my heart last summer. As a dog volunteer, finding the perfect home for her was my mission from the moment we met. To share her story and sparkling personality, Blue ran errands with me to popular local dog-friendly places, strutted around the neighborhood and filled my social media pages in search of her forever home.

Little did I know then that her forever home was ours.

Blue's days now are spent boating, camping, hiking, road tripping, posing for countless photos, teaching her older "brother" JD how to play, hanging out at work with me and hogging the bed every night.
