Our 12yr old little girl (kitty) had just passed in January 2014 of a long illness. Our heart was broken and our house was empty. A friend from work's parents foster and had found a cat on CL that was living in a garage with a dog and eating dog food. When my husband asked if he could bring him home after showing me a photo, I asked his name. "Baxter" was so regal of a name to match his look....I had to say yes. I've never been a dog person but the idea has been growing on me. Baxter fulfills my kitty and dog needs because he has so many canine characteristics. Comes when calls, follows us around, rolls like a dog on his back. Our little man rules the house and our hearts.
