Rules

     Help SLPR in its mission to reunite lost pets with their families.  Participate in the Contest fun by either entering a photo of your pet or vote for your favorite photo entry. The entry fee to submit one picture and enter the Contest is just $20.00¹. Everyone is a winner.  Even if the photo of your pet is not selected for one of the monthly calendar feature photos, all eligible photos will be featured in the collage photo in the 2022 calendar.  Do not delay.  The deadline for all photo submissions is September 25, 2021. The four-color, 10" x 22" calendars will be available in December 2021. 

     By entering a photo into the Contest or by voting for a photo entry, Contest participants (photo entry participants and voting participants may hereinafter be referred to collectively as “Participants”) agree to these instructions and rules. 

To submit a photo and entry the Contest,  just follow these easy steps:

1. Quick registration. To access the Gogo Photo Contest²registration form, either: (a)  click the "Enter Contest" button on the SLPR home page at www.lostpetrescue.org or (b) select "Enter Contest" from the "Participate" menu above.  If you already have an account, log into your account and complete the brief registration form.  If you do not have an account, click “Create Account” and follow the instructions.

2. Easy Contest entry.  After setting up your account, you will be taken to the “Enter Contest” page. Click the “Choose File” button to select a high-quality photo of your pet, then list your pet's name, your name, your city and state.  As an option, you can select a personal fund-raising goal.  You need not select a personal fund-raising goal to enter the Contest. After completing the above, click the “Submit” button. Your pet's photo will upload into the Contest site and you will be shown the information you entered and your pet's photo. If you want to change anything about your entry, click “Modify Entry” and make all desired changes. If you desire no changes, click “Continue to Donation Page”  to complete the entry process.

3. Payment of entry fee & donations.  As noted above, your $20 entry fee entitles you to enter one Contest photo. There is no limit to the number of photos you can enter so long as you pay the $20 entry fee for each photo entered.  When prompted, enter your credit card number, expiration date and credit card verification code (“ CVC”) which, except for American Express cards,  is a 3-digit number on the back of your credit card. For American Express cards, the CVC is a 4-digit code on the front of the card.  After entering this information, click “Submit” to enter your pet’s photo into the Contest.  You are free to remit more than your $20.00 entry fee by selecting an additional amount from the drop-down menu. All amounts in excess of the $20.00 entry fee for each photo will be considered a tax-deductible donation to SLPR.  Remember, you can also vote for your or any other entry as many times as you want. See the online voting instructions below.  

1. Non-refundable entry fee.   The $20.00 entry fee for each photo is non-refundable even if the photo cannot be used, is disqualified, or, for any other reason, cannot be entered into the Contest. 

 2. Multiple photo entries of a pet.  Regardless of the number of pet photo submissions for any pet, a pet with a winning photo will be featured in one of the monthly SLPR Homeward Bound 2022 Calendar spots.  For pets with multiple photo submissions, SLPR, in its sole and absolute discretion, will select the photo it deems as the best photo of the pet. Increase the chances of getting your pet featured in the calendar by submitting multiple entries.

3. Minimum photo resolution, horizontal layout and format.  Photo submissions must be in color, at least 2400 x 1800 pixels, in a horizontal (landscape) layout, and in one of the following formats: jpeg, png, tiff.  

4. Only original photos – no filters or editing.  Editing photos, the use of filters (i.e., Snapchat or Instagram filters), or otherwise altering a photo image in any way is prohibited.  Altered photos will be disqualified and the entrant will receive no refund of any entry fee. SLPR’s ruling as to whether a photo was altered or not is final and non-appealable.  Photo entries must be the original creation of the photo entry participant. 

5. Prohibited photo subject matter.  Only photos of pets will be accepted. Photos containing multiple pets are permitted, however, SLPR recommends that no more than two pets appear in any photo.  Each additional pet which appears in any photo will diminish the resolution of each pet in the photo.  No photo may contain any copyrighted material, feature commercial advertising or products, or contain any material which SLPR deems, in its sole and absolute discretion, as objectionable.  This is a pet photo contest.  No images of humans allowed. 

6. A few tips.  You can use a digital camera or your smart phone to take photos for entry into the Contest.  Whichever you use, set your camera to the highest quality setting. Make sure your pet is in focus, that your photo is not over or under-exposed (too light or too dark) and take more than one photo so you can select the best one.

     In addition to all other requirement outlined in these Official Contest Information, Instructions and Rules, all Participants must comply with the following.  

1. Contest entry period.  To be eligible for the Contest, photos must be entered within the Contest entry period starting 09:00 am MDT September 4, 2021, and ending at 09:00 pm MDT September  25, 2021.

2. Only original photos permitted.  All photos become the property of SLPR.  By submitting a photo into the Contest, a photo entry participant warrants that the photo is an original photo taken by the participant, and that participant has not sold, assigned, or otherwise transferred any rights whatsoever pertaining to the photo.  Photo entry participants further warrant that taking and entering the photo into the Contest will not infringe upon or violate the rights of any third parties.  By entering a photo into the Contest, participant irrevocably assigns all participant’s rights in, title to, or interest in the photo to SLPR and SLPR shall thereafter own the photo and all associated rights including, but not limited to copyrights, trademark rights, creative rights, reproduction rights, rights to include photo in derivative work, rights to alter the photo, rights to post photos on SLPR and other internet sites and venues, all commercial rights, advertising rights, the rights to raise or earn money with the photo or other work in which photo is used, the right to sell the photo,  and all other rights whatsoever associated with the creation and ownership of the photo (collectively “Photo Rights”) in perpetuity. Participant relinquishes all Photo Rights to SLPR. 

3. SLPR rejection of photos.  SLPR may disqualify any photo it deems inappropriate, noncompliant with these instructions or rules, or otherwise objectionable in SLPR’s sole and absolute discretion.  SLPR has no obligation to notify participants whose photos were disqualified or rejected, or to refund any entry fees.  Entry fees are non-refundable. 

4. No liability to SLPR, indemnification, void where prohibited by law.  

          a.     SLPR is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, objectionable, rejected, or misdirected entries. Such entries will be disqualified with no refund of entry fees. Only fully completed entries compliant with these instructions and rules are eligible for entry into the Contest. Proof of submission will not be deemed as proof of receipt by SLPR.  

          b.     As a material inducement for SLPR to allow Participants to enter photos, vote, or  otherwise participate in this Contest, Participants voluntarily, knowingly and forever release, discharge and relinquish, as to SLPR, its principals, agents, employees, directors, officers, accountants, attorneys, predecessors, successors, assigns, affiliates, members, trustees, and incorporators (collectively “Released Parties”) all claims, demands, causes of action, choses in action, fees, costs, liability, debts, wrongs, damages, complaints, judgments, and executions which may be asserted against the Released Parties arising in any manner whatsoever from or out of the Contest, photo entries, or voting (collectively “Released Liability”). Participants agree to indemnify and hold Released Parties harmless from all Released Liability. Said indemnification includes, among other things, the advancement or reimbursement of the Released Parties’ attorney fees and costs.  

          c.     SLPR is not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other communications or transmission malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, website, internet, or internet service provider availability, unauthorized human intervention, internet traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause), or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one's ability to enter the Contest.  SLPR is not responsible for injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer arising or resulting from participating in this. 

          d.     Participants may not enter this Contest, vote, or otherwise participate in this Contest where prohibited by law.  

5. Internet Voting. Voting participants may vote as many times as they desire by donating $1.00 per vote. Voting participants must purchase a minimum of five votes at a time for a minimum donation of $5.00.  Donations for votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment of your online vote donation will serve as your tax receipt. All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest whose decisions are final and binding.  There is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. The Voting Period starts September 4, 2021, at 9:00 am MDT and ends on October 2, 2021, at 9:00 pm MDT.

6. Prizes.  

          a.      Grand Prize Winner. The pet photo receiving the most votes will be awarded the coveted SLPR Homeward Bound 2022 Calendar "Cover" spot and a 2022 SLPR Homeward Bound Calendar. **If the grand prize winner is located in Summit County Colorado, a photo shoot with a Professional Photographer will also be provided.

          b.      1st - 12th Place Winners.  The next 12 Prize winners (most votes received after Grand Prize winner) will have their photo featured on one month inside the SLPR Homeward Bound 2022 Calendar. The selection of each month will be awarded to the 12 winners in descending order of votes (i.e., the winner of most votes get the first choice of months). If the winner(s) do not timely select a month, SLPR will select the month.

          c.       Additional Prizes.  

                    i.       Collage Page.  All eligible photo entries will be included in a collage page in the calendar.  

                    ii.      Notification. Potential winners will be notified by email on or about October 4, 2021. If a potential winner’s entry is later deemed noncompliant with these  Contest instructions and rules, the entry will be disqualified, and the prize awarded to an alternate winner.  

7. Use of Participant data and personal information.  By submitting a photo entry, voting, or otherwise participating in the Contest, Participants consent to SLPR’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted SLPR’s Privacy Policy. 

8. Dispute Resolution.  By participating in the Contest, Participants agree that all disputes whatsoever arising from the Contest, photo submission, and voting,  shall be adjudicated in the county and state courts situated in Summit County, Colorado and  pursuant to Colorado law.  Participants waive the right to trial by jury and consent to the jurisdiction and venue of said courts.  If the prevailing party is SLPR, SLPR shall recover its reasonably incurred attorney’s fees and costs from the non-prevailing party.  Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these instructions and rules, in the event of a dispute arising from this Contest, SLPR’s liability is limited to refunding a Participant’s entry fee and voting donations, if any.
