Pet's Story or Bio
We first met Rigby, then Oskar, in March 2016 at the Jefferson SPCA. He was the last dog on the last row we saw that day. He didn't bark or make any noises, just wagged his tail furiously and smiled that big pitty smile. We knew he was our missing family member immediately.
He didn't feel like an Oskar to us when we brought him home. I basically "mother of dragons-ed" him and gave him a new name, he has a new home and new life after all!
Rigby was the only name he responded to so it stuck. His closest friends also call him "Rigbone" or "Rigbilington".
He has two rescued cat siblings, Pickles and Tiny Dancer, whom he loves very much. They, as you can imagine cats would, tolerate him.
We now live in Atlanta where he has a big fenced in backyard with lots of trees to pee on, sticks to chew and the occasional squirrel to chase.
He love EVERYONE he meets, especially the kids who live next door.
He's now a whopping 100 pounds of wiggles, snuggles and love. He is the biggest momma's boy and insists on being tucked in every night before bed with his special blanket.
He loves riding in the truck and going to Petsmart to visit Ms. Anne who gives him too many treats when mom isn't looking and visiting the garden section of Home Depot.
When meeting new friends he always sits or lays down to show he just wants a pat on the head or belly rub. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, unless you are a chewy or peanut butter.
My hope is that more people accept this loving breed that has been dubbed "aggressive". When we are out and about we do our best to show everyone we meet that the only thing aggressive about a Pit Bull is their love. They love so very fiercely.
