Pet's Story or Bio
Filled with sadness over the loss of both our family dogs in the summer of 2016, both passing away within two months of each other, our family was looking to lighten our hearts. In late August, we decided the best way to ease our grief was to visit the LASPCA to deliver homemade toys to the shelter dogs. Upon our visit, in the very last kennel, this baby girl (formerly "Birdie") was calling our name, with her beautiful, chestnut eyes and sweet, affectionate disposition. My children did not want to leave her behind. "Mom, what if she isn't here when we come back?" We didn't know if the timing was right, but our hearts were telling us "yes," so we decided to bring her home for a 72-hour sleepover, which turned into FOREVER! What is a better way to mend a broken heart than by rescuing another? Lola loves to go for jogs, play soccer in the backyard, and take long naps on the sofa. We are in love with our Lola Louise and all the fun, joy, and laughter that she brings to our family! #adopt
