Pet's Story or Bio
My husband David and I wanted to adopt a dog. We knew we wanted a rescue dog. We went to the Louisiana SPCA website and started looking at available pups. When we saw Diego's picture, we fell in love! We made an appointment to go over to our local SPCA and meet him. It truly was love at first sight. We found out that Diego had been through a lot; he was a stray on the street and was heart worm-positive. We adopted him that day, and the rest is history. The SPCA worked with us to get Diego the treatment he needed to get rid of the heart worms. He is now happily heart worm-free.

The joy and happiness that Diego has brought to our family is hard to describe. Our families love dogs, and Diego has fit right with all of the other pups. We love him beyond words, and he has enriched our lives tremendously. We can't imagine life without him.
