A little about me...
Jasper was adopted from Skyway Dachshund Rescue. He was from a breeder surrender. Jasper has some fear and anxiety issues, and we knew that when adopted him. We were committed to love this little boy forever, and be his forever home. It has been a slow process, but he is learning to trust. We have had him for 9 months now, and he has made continued progress. Today, he was starting to play just a little bit with his brother Jake. It's another step, and we are excited. Our favorite thing is seeing him run around the house with his tail up and wagging. That was a huge milestone. You never think of a dog not walking on a leash, playing with other dogs/toys, or outside running in the yard, but that is exactly the way it was/is. He still doesn't like the leash, but he has a big yard he loves to play in, and loves rolling in dirt. We love it!!

We will never know why Jasper came to us full of fear, but we can guarantee he will be loved, spoiled, have many milk bones, and live his best life with us forever.
