Pet's Story or Bio
Wilbur Buds came into the rescue where I volunteer in June 2019. He was a senior Jack Russell wound tight as a drum. He ate the fur off his paws and hind end, and had a bum back leg. Knowing his issues, he came home for a boys weekend to see how he did in a home (we had two other senior dogs at the time; Chip 15 and Bruno 8) and never went back. He always struggled but was the greatest dog. Whatever his past, his future was bright! We had two amazing years with Wilbur. He passed October 6, 2021 from a tumor rupture on his spleen. With every medical intervention, we could not save him. It is never enough time. We have adopted two seniors in his honor - Olive 12 and Tex 13. Our pack has grown to 4, Chip and Bruno are doing well. Wilbur Buds will always have a special place in my heart. He was my soul dog.
