We adopted Marty from M.A.M.A.S. in April 2021 after having to put down our first dog the month prior. A week of working from home truly alone without a dog was all it took for me to start looking for a new best friend. Someone else had an application in to adopt Marty, but the stars aligned and he made the journey here to us in DC. He has since welcomed a big brother, Pablo, rescued from Kentucky and has transformed into the sweetest little cuddle bug. His DNA results show he's 53% Chihuahua (with the skittishness and howl to show it), 25% Pit Bull (a surprise for his 15 lb. frame), and the remaining more or less equal parts Yorkie, Toy Fox Terrier, and Staffordshire Terrier. Marty loves Greenies and hates the rain. We are looking forward to many happy years together!
