Merlin is a 7-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Chow Chow/Pit bull/Lab mix. He was rescued in South Carolina and came into my life after the death of my beloved Marshmallow, who died young of cancer. Merlin arrived, his own heart freshly mended after a battle with heart worms, and set himself to cheering me up immediately with his big smile, his silly goofy face, and his natural charm. Every day he reminds me to live in the moment and stop to smell the roses. His joys and pleasures are pure and unadulterated. I love him so much and couldn’t imagine life without him. He is the sweetest, most gentle soul, who adores everyone he comes across, from dogs to children to adults. Please enjoy this photo of Merlin's first time in the snow.
