Emma is the princess of our house. She prefers carpets and pillows and will not sit down on bare ground. She walks on her leash like a lady and looks askance at any dog who is so uncouth as to bark or sniff her rear. She sits and waits for her meals and does not eat until wished 'Bon Apetit,' Emma is a mind reader and always shows up when anyone is thinking about eating a banana or cutting some pineapple. She knows when we want to play fetch, even before we know it ourselves. Most of all, she knows that her daddy has always dreamt of having a dog-shaped shadow.
