We first met Lily on transport in April 2021. She was terrified, didn’t want to go in the crate, and was in rough shape. She was en route to a partner rescue in Pennsylvania, but I instantly felt a connection to her. We soon found out that she was heartworm positive and needed treatment. That’s when I knew that we had to adopt her. Lily became the newest member of our family a week later and began the long treatment protocol to get rid of the heartworms. Lily is now heartworm negative, and is an ambassador for heartworm prevention. She is the most gentle, well behaved dog and loves people, especially little kids. Her favorite activities are walking with her pack friends, welcoming foster puppies, and lounging in the hot sun. We love our Lily girl immensely.
