The “3 days 3 weeks 3 months rule” has proven absolute in the case of Gracie’s personality. Initially shy (and still is with strangers) Gracie has the loudest most obnoxious bark in the house. She represents the small in her S-M-L dog family. Gracie referees when play sessions between M and L get too raucous by forcing herself in the middle and using her voice to break it up. Secretly, it’s her FOMO that drives many of her desires. Gracie always jockeys for the first to get outdoors, even if it means getting trampled by M and L. If I’m sleeping and it’s breakfast, it is Gracie who vocalizes the alarm, followed by a not-so-gentle paw on the face. Gracie has boundless personality that has emerged from her shy first impression. “Shy” is the last word I would choose to describe Gracie now!
