Pet's Story or Bio
Ellie is getting close to 2 years old now and my wife and I have had her for about a year and a half. We adopted Ellie Jan 31st 2015 when she was about 11 weeks old and it has been great ever since. She loves to play, get belly rubs, cuddle, as well as play fetch, which as you can see from the pic is one of the games she loves. She has some Golden Retriever in her, so I guess it's in her genes. We found that out as we were so curious as to what breed she had mixed up in her that we did a DNA test for her a couple months after we adopted her. It turned out to our surprise that our 6 pound puppy was Golden Retriever and St. Bernard on one side and then Bijon and Finnish Spitz on the other which explains why she she looked very similar to a Golden Retriever but was only 6 pounds and now only 18 pounds pretty much fully grown. We still haven't figured out where the St. Bernard fits in, but the combination made one great dog. Ellie is well behaved and friendly to everyone. We are so happy that she become a part of our lives and are very grateful to the work and effort that Mamas does to save and enrich all the lives of the dogs and people involved.
