Pet's Story or Bio
This is Pearl. She is 4 years old and lives in Alexandria, Virginia. She is very intelligent and highly sensitive. Not long after she completed puppy kindergarten, her mom got breast cancer. She was an enormous comfort and helped tremendously while mom went through treatment. Now this fur child is rewarded with tons of love and a huge neighborhood of doggy friends. In the summer, she loves to swim. So much so, it's hard to keep her out of the water. But she's definitely partial to winter. She can't get enough of the cold weather...especially when there is snow on the ground. Her biological mom was supposedly a Plot Hound and the litter was advertised as Aussie Pups. But her DNA test came back saying she is a mix of Shetland Sheepdog, Collie, Golden Retriever and Chow. To us ...she is the most beautiful mutt on the planet.
