Drake is 9 years old and was adopted from the Gourley School of Veterinary Medicine from which he graduated in 2013. He is a very handsome German short haired pointer whom we call a pocket pointer because of his smaller size He is a very handsome, energetic and charming chap who has endeared himself to everyone he meets. He can find and retrieve a ball from the top of a tree, the deep end of the pool or anywhere we try to hide it in the garden. He is happy and easy going and his favorite thing is to retrieve toys from the pool. He is an accomplished diver and swimmer and has a huge and loving personality.
Roxie came from Australia where she was saved from a crack house. She is a service dog for our nephew who has PTSD after Afghanistan. She is the happiest, friendliest dog on the planet. She greets each day with joy and excitement. She is 9 years old and is mainly Staffordshire Terrier. She is very well travelled having come to us from Sydney via Vancouver and Seattle. She shares her house with Drake a short haired pointer and Eddy a ginger cat also from Australia.I'm from...
We adopted Drake from UC Davis. The Gourley school adopts dogs who have been dumped, often from hunters in Colusa and if suitable they are trained and stay in the vet school for a year to help educate future vets. We were very lucky to be chosen to adopt Drake. Our dog Ruby fell in love with him as did we and now he shares our home with Roxie and Eddy.
Our nephew brought Roxie to Canada from Australia and when he divorced and was working full time she came to live with us in California where she enriches our lives every day
