A little about me...
Misty is a 2-year old rescue from Qatar who we found at a shelter on Valencia Street. She was huddled, terrified & alone, in a crate in the very back of the shelter, and she drew blood every time I tried to touch her. She had terrible diarrhea from a giardia infection & was totally emaciated. It was really hard just getting her into a crate and getting her home. She was really, really sick & wouldn’t let anyone get anywhere near her. It’s been quite the journey trying to nurse her back to health, much more than I bargained for! But 6 months later, she has blossomed into a more affectionate, healthy, beautiful, and thriving little girl than I would have ever dreamed possible. I’m so happy I followed my instincts and took a chance on the kind of cat she could become. She’s still changing day to day, opening up & learning to trust. But she has become a wonderful companion to me & is clearly grateful for all the work I’ve put into her. She surprises me all the time as different adorable & quirky parts of her personality come out. We’re not quite there yet but I know we’re on the right track.

Where did you get your pet?
Kit Tea Cat Lounge on Valencia Street. They did not take very good care of her & were extremely difficult to do business with. So I would not recommend adopting a cat from them unless you’re willing to go through a ton of trouble for your pet. At least they are finding homes for rescued cats like mine, which I am very grateful to them for. But the was they are doing it is not good, and they are extremely irresponsible about the condition of their cats. They didn’t help me at all with all the problems I had with Misty — I had to work out all her physical and emotional trauma all on my own, even though I’ve never had any experience with that. It worked out ok, but I am not happy with the way they dealt with it. Zero support, which is very irresponsible of them.
