Paige! My foster fail! Paige arrived as the shyest dog I’ve ever met at Mary’s Dogs from being feral for most of her puppyhood. She had to be carried out of the building in her crate at pick-up. It took three months for her to walk on a leash and a year for me to touch her without her trembling. After 3 years, she felt comfortable enough to snuggle up next to me. She will forever be judging the human world(same) with her signature pout, making her nickname “Pouty Paige.” She loves all other dogs and is still very cautious around humans(also same). She has taught me so much about meeting your dog where they are at, communication, patience and advocating.
